Add Page Numbers in the Header Video of this step is at the bottom of the page
Because we previously added a section break, we can add page numbers to the document and the page where the text starts will be page 1.
Place the cursor at the very top of the page with the text and double click to open the Header and Footer dialog.
Remove the link to the previous option by clicking on Link to Previous button in Word's ribbon (Again, if your document isn't wide enough, you may just see the icon instead of text.). Now you have two independent parts in your page (note the section numbers in the header and footer).
Select Page Number in the ribbon.
Select Format Page Numbers.
Select Start At and change it to page 1.
Select Page Number again
Select where you want the page numbers to appear. I selected the number in the upper right hand corner.
You can also use page numbers in section one but it is recommended that you use i,ii,iii format. Also, you can select not to include page numbers on the first page by double clicking in the second page and starting your numbers there.
If desired you can add additional information to the header and footer as needed.
