Every clock in my house is a few minutes different and the time on my car radio is way off. Every once in a while, I like to get the correct time and syncronis all my clocks. Here are places to get the correct time, places that will help you convert the time to other time zones and get more information about time.
The Official U.S. Time
Just click on your area of the country and it will provide you with the correct time. My favorite part of this site is after you click on the area of the U.S. that you want the time for, it gives you a map of the world and it shows you where it is dark and where it is light.
U.S Naval Observatory
From the U.S Naval Observatory Time Service Department. This site gives you a ton of information about the time and how to convert from UTC or GMT.
Time Zone Converter
Select your city and you can see what time it is elsewhere in the world! This site will automatically adjust for Daylight Savings time also. A very easy way to see what time it elsewhere.
World Time Zone Map
Shows what time it is in all parts of the world and the different time zones in map format. It also includes how much an area is from GMT and it shows the International Date Line. There is so much information packed on to this map that it is a little confusing to figure out at first but worth the time because it shows so much.
Clockworks
From Britannica. If you every wanted to know about the history of how time is measured, this is the site to visit. It is a short Shockwave presentation about time from sundials to the atomic second.
Worldwide Daylight Savings Time
A great resource to find out what countries participate in Daylight Savings Time, when they use it, and how much time is adjusted. It has amazing facts like some countries will adjust the time just for political reasons or for special events.
