You can call or send a letter requesting that your name be removed.
Credit Reporting Agencies:
Go to https://www.optoutprescreen.com/ or call 1-888-5OPTOUT, or 1-888-567-8688 so that your name will no longer be sold to other companies. This will stop unsolicited credit card offers and more. This number services Trans Union, Equifax, Novus, and Experian. You will have the option of having your name not sold for two years or permanently. If it any time, you would like to start receiving offers again, you may do so, by calling this number again, and selecting the option.
Be sure to call or write to your individual credit card companies to let them know that you do not want your name sold.

When a telemarketer calls, tell them to put you on their do not contact list. By law, they are required to have one and not contact those people on the list.
National And State Do Not Call Registries
Laws have been passed on the national and state levels. You can now add yourself to do not call registries. Beware though! Some states only stop people calling you to sell you something.
