Using the Internet to Check Your Doctor's License and Education
What is more important than your health? The doctor that you choose for your family is one of the most important decisions that you can make to ensure your family's health. You can use the Internet to make sure that your doctor is licensed, board certified and you may even be able to find out if he has any disciplinary actions against him.
Find out if they are a member of the American Medical Association by using their Doctor Finder. You can locate a doctor in your area or look up the information about your doctor's license and education background. Not all doctors are listed by the American Medical Association but you can usually find them by viewing non-member physicians. It also may be a good idea to find out if your doctor is American Board of Medical Specialties Certified.
